New short: slow process

 June 23rd, 2008 by notbadfilms ( Email )

Gilad Foss and I have broken ground on our new comic short, FINALLY.

After a series of set backs, rewrites, casting snafu's and more we knocked out the majority of the voice over. Gilad gave a great performance in the lead role and it felt great to direct again. It's been a while - to long.

We should be able to knock out the rest of the VO sometime this month. By that point I should have some character art to show as well.

Lost Monster Hop

The National Film Board of Canada is known for producing some of the best short and independent, animation in the history of the art form. Their program, Hothouse 4, brought together six emerging filmmakers from Canadian and two from Brazi to spend three months creating a very short film based on the theme “Chance Encounter.”

These films are now online. I recommend taking a peek. The work is short and the animation is inventive.

They also have a podcast.
